Geneva (Eva) Fern (Careins) Gwin was born outside of Delaware County, Indiana on June 16, 1897. In 1917 both Eva Careins and her future husband, Forrest Gwin were students at Muncie Business College in Muncie, Indiana. The couple married on June 16, 1920, Eva's twenty-third birthday. They lived in Muncie until Eva died in an Indianapolis hospital on Oct. 27, 1949 at the age of fifty-two. The Gwins led active lives in Muncie.
